Job Details
Description Birmingham Advanced Septic and Sewer, a Liquid Environmental Solutionspany, is seeking an experienced Plant Operator for our plant located in Hueytown! Prior experience with “dewatering” process and/or “pumping” fluids (i.e. offloading tanker trucks) strongly preferred!
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7am to 3pm with available
Overtime Compensation:
$25.00 to $30.00/hr (based on iing experience) — paid weekly
Location:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for mixing the wastewater chemicals and adding to them as needed.
Manages the space for iing wastewater and treatment of the material.
Performs cleanup of the area as required.
Checks tank levels for necessary space for material processing.
Follows all safety andpliance rules and regulations.
Wears and properly uses safety equipment at all times.
Always works in a safe andpliant manner.
Operates and maintains shop equipment.
May perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Operates heavy equipment including forklift truck and skid steer.
May perform minor electrical maintenance functions.
Cleans and maintains process equipment.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
The ability to learn procedures related to safe handling of materials.

EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
One or more year(s) of experience as a Plant Operator with the maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery (Preferred).
Must be willing to work in environments with strong odors.
Must be willing to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to work on feet most of the workday
