Job Description

Primary purpose:

Monitor and control terminal components such as cryogenic equipment including pumps, compressors, blowers, vaporizers, unloading arms and storage tanks; gas turbine generators; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, and hazard detection systems; and security systems Essential duties and responsibilities: Respond to system alarms and coordinate field activities to resolve abnormal conditions Unload LNG ships in a safe, efficient and timely manner Ensure the accurate measurement of liquefied natural gas entering the terminal as well as the accurate measurement of the natural gas being delivered from the terminal to delivery points on other pipelines Work with Pipeline Gas Control to avoid and/or minimize adverse impacts on the operation of the terminal and the terminal’s customers Initiate emergency shutdown, containment actions, and emergency notifications in the event of actual or suspected product release Successfully complete all regulatory and company training and become familiar with all applicable company policies and procedures Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations Be prepared to execute emergency response activities at all times Serve as Company representative with outside agencies including vessel crews, Coast Guard, Customs, Agents, and customer representatives Actively participate in safety and security programs and initiatives Complete Advanced LNG Firefighting Training, DOT / PHMSA training, and other testing as required Notify personnel as appropriate of the status of system operations Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements Minimum Requirements Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent Experience / specific knowledge: Knowledge of processing plant operations Knowledge of gas and liquid processing theories and fundamentals. Certifications, licenses, registrations: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Company Insurance Carrier Must meet the criteria to maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) as required by

USCG/DHS

regulations Competencies, skills, and abilities: Successfully complete the Console Operator Basic Requirements Assessment (COBRA) Ability to operate a minimum of 2 consoles with full working responsibilities Demonstrate ability to do mathematical calculations (basic arithmetic and interpreting scales and tables) Proficient in basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Clearly and concisely orally communicate in English with field employees and customers Clearly communicate in writing (reports and email) Analytical and problem solving skills Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules Ability to function appropriately in high stress situations Physical demands: Must be able to distinguish colors and have visual acuity to closely observe multiple computer monitors Ability to quickly manipulate computer key boards Ability to sit for prolonged periods Ability to hear and orally respond to oral communications Physical ability to lift as much as 50lbs, bend/stoop, kneel and climb ladders; climb stairs above 100 feet and work from elevated platforms; use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use such as simple grasp and twisting motion included. regulations Working conditions: Working conditions are indoors in climatically controlled environment as well as outdoors in inclement weather conditions Must be able and willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and must work overtime as required and be reasonably available to respond to and report to work in call-in situations Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities: Above the minimum requires; not required but advantageous in this position: Associate’s Degree (or higher) in related field Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs and other diagrams Knowledge of Company policies, procedures and practices as well as regulatory requirements Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high/low pressure systems Experience or familiarity analyzing, adjusting and making minor repairs on valves, compressors, pumps and other associated equipment Job level commensurate with experience and skill set Other responsibilities: The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. This position may perform other duties as assigned: Project/Construction/Commissioning and Normal Operation phase responsibilities Successful candidate(s) must satisfactorily complete training. Training includes classroom training, field trips, computer simulation of operating pipeline, written tests of material covered, and computer simulation tests.
