Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the operations of our manufacturing processes, ensuring that casting production runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties:
Support the Plant Operator in overseeing daily manufacturing processes. Operate and monitor casting machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify any issues or malfunctions. Follow established procedures for starting up, shutting down, cleaning, and operating plant equipment. Collaborate with the Plant Operator to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems.
Experience and Qualifications:
Training is provided on the job. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferable but not required. Familiarity with operating heavy machinery or plant equipment is preferable. Detailed-oriented. Candidates will have the ability to focus on the small, specific aspects of a task while ensuring accuracy and thoroughness. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under a deadline. Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Have an understanding and follow all safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting. Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from work daily.
