(MEPPI), you will serve as a key technical and strategic contributor supporting complex, multi-disciplinary programs in the critical power, transportation, and utility sectors. In this role, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, guide product development and deployment, and support programs aligned with divisional growth and innovation objectives. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in electrical systems and infrastructure programs. What You’ll Do Strategic Planning & Execution Collaborate with PUG leadership to define and implement strategic initiatives, annual operating plans, and long-term growth strategies. Technical Program Management Lead high-impact programs involving critical power infrastructure, transportation systems, or grid-tied electrical products . Translate technical requirements into actionable project plans and ensure alignment with customer specifications and industry standards. Product & Systems Development Support the design, testing, and launch of new products and engineered systems, ensuring adherence to electrical, mechanical, and controls specifications . Coordinate with engineering, R D, quality, and supply chain teams to drive development timelines and technical compliance. Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as a liaison across departments to ensure program success—facilitating communication between engineering, procurement, production, and external stakeholders. Technical Oversight & Risk Management Provide guidance on technical feasibility, risk mitigation, and system-level integration for mission-critical applications. Market Intelligence & Customer Focus Analyze emerging trends in power systems, transportation infrastructure, and energy technologies to inform product positioning and investment decisions. Standards & Regulatory Monitoring Maintain familiarity with key industry standards such as IEEE, NEMA, UL, NFPA, and DOT/FRA regulations . Monitor policy changes affecting power and transportation infrastructure, advising leadership on implications and strategic actions. Operational Reporting & Continuous Improvement Monitor KPIs, budgets, and technical milestones across active programs. Identify areas for efficiency and recommend process improvements. Stakeholder & Customer Engagement Interface with government agencies, utilities, OEM partners, and internal engineering teams. Represent MEPPI’s interests in external engagements. What You Bring Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field (advanced degree preferred). Minimum of 10 years of program or project management experience in critical power, electrical systems, transportation infrastructure, or industrial automation . Technical Acumen In-depth understanding of electrical distribution, UPS systems, transportation power systems, control systems, and data center infrastructure . Experience managing system-level engineering programs from concept to execution. Leadership & Communication Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and working with technical and executive stakeholders. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for various audiences. Tools & Systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar). Experience with ERP and PLM systems is a plus. What’s in It for
