Competitive Salary During initial license training, totalcompensation ranging from $159,000.00 to $182,000.00 per year(depending on experience and past license status) including a 15%annual incentive bonus. Also, an initial sign-on bonus, $10,000bonus spread through training milestones, a comprehensive benefitspackage, and a 401k with employer matching on contributions. Afterobtaining SRO license, total compensation ranging from $191,000.00per year including a 15% annual incentive bonus. Eligible forextended hours pay at 1.5 times the base salary (expressed onhourly basis) involving mandated operation shift coverage.

Upon completion ofthe qualification the candidate will be fully licensed by the NRCto supervise the operations of the reactor control room. Completionof Fundamentals Phase, completion of Simulator Certification,acquiring SRO status, attainment of NRC SRO License (80%) Studytime, field time needed to attain licensed status (10%) Projectwork, outage assignments, or duties as assigned to support the siteoperations (10%) Job Summary Provide direct oversight ofConstellation’s Nuclear Power Generating Stationoperations including directing Reactor Operators in controllingplant operations, Equipment Operators in field operations,procedure use and tagging evolutions. Job ResponsibilitiesAuthorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipmentstatus is maintained. Responsible for implementing EmergencyOperating procedures and directing the required procedural steps tostabilize the plant following emergency or abnormal conditions.
Evaluate and respond to issues, findings, open items, and requestsoriginating internally and externally from the organization.
Oversee special projects determined by the OperationsDirector/Operations Managers. Responsible for creating, revising,and reviewing Emergency Operating Procedures and Abnormal OperatingProcedures to support safe, efficient, cost-effective operation ofthe Nuclear Generating Station Units. Responsible for reviewingdesign and license changes for procedure impact, performing10CFR50.59 applicability reviews and Station Qualified Reviewer(SQR) reviews, and supporting outages and various special projects.
Review system documentation including P&ID and designdescriptions. Provide operability review for systems specificallyduring off-normal conditions. Assist in developing refuelingsequences and ensure systems can accommodate shutdown and refuelingoperations. Directing operating shift personnel in the performanceof plant duties including standing watch on rotating 12-hour shiftsand coordinating and directing the operation of the nuclear powerplant’s systems. Shift work, continuous training with periodicexaminations, respirator qualification, and maintainingqualification as a member of the plant Fire Brigade are allrequirements of this position. Minimum Qualifications High SchoolDiploma or equivalent Successfully passing the Plant OperatorSelection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)pre-employment tests Must successfully complete a FLS LeadershipAssessment And meet or exceed one of the following: 1 year ReactorOperator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at anoncomparable facility. Comparable is PWR to PWR or BWR to BWR andnon-comparable is PWR to BWR or BWR to
PWR. 1.5
years or more in aposition equivalent to Reactor Operator (or Supervisor) at militaryreactor (i.e., Power Plant Watch Engineer, Engineering WatchSupervisor, Reactor Operator, Engineering Officer of the Watch,Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor). Must have 1.5 years afterqualification. Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent inengineering, engineering technology or physical sciences, orprofessional engineer license, and more than 1.5 years as aqualified non-licensed operator or a supervisor or manager in workcontrol, operations, engineering, outage management, maintenance,radiation protection, chemistry, or accredited training at acomparable (BWR or PWR) facility. Managerial, staff engineer, orsupervisor experience at non-comparable plant may be credited on a1.5:1.0 basis (i.e., over 2.25 years required for non-comparablefacility), and 3 years required for a nontraditional degree.
