Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee daily operations of the Utilities Department Plan and manage capital improvements and infrastructure upgrades Supervise, train, and evaluate department staff Ensure regulatory compliance across all systems Lead project design and engineering for utility extensions and plant improvements Manage budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts Serve as liaison to engineers, contractors, public officials, and the community Ideal Candidate Profile Proven public utility leadership (5-8 years), with at least 3 in administration Strong technical and engineering acumen Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or public administration (Master’s preferred) SC PE license and/or Level C certifications (preferred or ability to obtain) Experience managing capital projects and operational budgets Excellent communicator with a passion for public service and community impact What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS) Professional development and certification support Opportunity to shape the future of a growing city A collaborative, mission-driven work culture
