Rogers Group is looking for a responsible, dedicated and safety conscious person to fill our need for an

ASPHALT PLANT OPERATOR

located in Dayton, TN. This position involves manual labor, equipment operation assistance, and ensuring that the plant runs smoothly. Must be willing to travel to other plants in the surrounding area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure that materials are stored properly to maintain quality and prevent contamination. Transport materials to different areas of the plant as needed. Operate basic machinery or tools, such as forklifts or shovels, to move materials and equipment around the plant. Routine equipment / plant maintenance, and involvement with plant improvement projects. Monitor the flow of material through the plant, ensuring that there are no blockages or issues with material movement. Report equipment problems and identify them to management. Assist other workers as needed or directed. Clean-up around site. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Uncompromising focus on safety excellence. 1+ years of experience operating a plant preferred. Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is required. Knowledge of equipment. Able to do safety and maintenance inspections throughout the day. Capable of demonstrating equipment and troubleshooting knowledge. Ability to understand basic safety and work instruction. Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills. Welding experience helpful along with general maintenance and repair abilities. Experience in heavy equipment operation a plus but not required. Team player mentality. Working outdoors in varied weather conditions with the probability of dust, noise, heat, and cold. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
