Competitive SalaryDuring initial license training, totalcompensation ranging from $159,000.00 to $182,000.00 per year(depending on experience and past license status) including a 15%annual incentive bonus. After obtaining SRO license, total compensationranging from $191,000.00 per year including a 15% annual incentivebonus.   • Job SummaryProvide direct oversight ofConstellation’s Nuclear Power Generating Stationoperations including directing Reactor Operators in controllingplant operations, Equipment Operators in field operations,procedure use and tagging evolutions.
  • JobResponsibilitiesAuthorize maintenance and testing activities toensure equipment status is maintained.
  • Responsible forimplementing Emergency Operating procedures and directing therequired procedural steps to stabilize the plant followingemergency or abnormal conditions.
  • Evaluate and respond to issues,findings, open items, and requests originating internally andexternally from the organization.
  • Oversee special projectsdetermined by the Operations Director/Operations Managers
  • Responsible for creating, revising, and reviewing EmergencyOperating Procedures and Abnormal Operating Procedures to supportsafe, efficient, cost-effective operation of the Nuclear GeneratingStation Units.
  • Responsible for reviewing design and licensechanges for procedure impact, performing 10CFR50.

59 applicabilityreviews and Station Qualified Reviewer (SQR) reviews, andsupporting outages and various special projects.

Review systemdocumentation including P&ID and design descriptions.

Provideoperability review for systems specifically during off-normalconditions.

Assist in developing refueling sequences and ensuresystems can accommodate shutdown and refueling operations.

Directingoperating shift personnel in the performance of plant dutiesincluding standing watch on rotating 12-hour shifts andcoordinating and directing the operation of the nuclear powerplant’s systems. Shift work, continuous training with periodicexaminations, respirator qualification, and maintainingqualification as a member of the plant Fire Brigade are allrequirements of this position.

  • Minimum QualificationsHigh SchoolDiploma or equivalentSuccessfully passing the Plant OperatorSelection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)pre-employment testsMust successfully complete a FLS LeadershipAssessmentAnd meet or exceed one of the following: 1 year ReactorOperator license at a comparable facility or 1.

5 years at anoncomparable facility. Comparable is PWR to PWR or BWR to BWR andnon-comparable is PWR to BWR or BWR to

PWR. 1.5

years or more in aposition equivalent to Reactor Operator (or Supervisor) at militaryreactor (i.e., Power Plant Watch Engineer, Engineering WatchSupervisor, Reactor Operator, Engineering Officer of the Watch,Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor). Must have 1.5 years afterqualification.

Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent inengineering, engineering technology or physical sciences, orprofessional engineer license, and more than 1.5 years as aqualified non-licensed operator or a supervisor or manager in workcontrol, operations, engineering, outage management, maintenance,radiation protection, chemistry, or accredited training at acomparable (BWR or PWR) facility. Managerial, staff engineer, orsupervisor experience at non-comparable plant may be credited on a1.5:1.0 basis (i.e., over 2.25 years required for non-comparablefacility), and 3 years required for a nontraditional degree.
