Job Summary:

Responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment, such as digital printers or offset machines, to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires technical skills in setting up printers, adjusting print parameters, and resolving minor production-related issues. The Print Operator works in collaboration with the graphic design team and production staff to ensure that printed products meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate digital printers or offset machines according to job specifications. Load and unload printing material, such as paper, inks, and other supplies, safely and efficiently. Adjust print parameters, such as speed, temperature, and ink quality, to ensure optimal print results. Monitor the printing process closely to detect and troubleshoot technical issues, such as paper jams or deviations in print quality. Perform regular preventive maintenance and cleaning of printers to ensure proper operation. Collaborate with the graphic design team to ensure print files are set up correctly and meet client specifications. Inspect samples of printed products to ensure quality and accuracy of work. Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Record and maintain production logs, including setup data, run times, and quantities produced. Communicate effectively with the production team and management to report job progress and resolve issues.

Requirements:

Technical training in printing or graphics is an advantage. Previous experience as a Print Operator or in similar roles in the printing industry. Strong knowledge of printing equipment, related software, and maintenance techniques. Technical skills to troubleshoot printing-related issues. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards. Communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines. Knowledge of safety practices in a printing environment.
