Full Job Description SUMMARY:
An individual in this position will perform activities associated with the production of flexographic photopolymer printing plates. This person is responsible for digital preparation of files for plate imaging, raw material handling and movement, machine operation and routine maintenance, and quality inspection of finished product
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work safely and adhere to all safety guidelines. Read/process photopolymer plate orders as scheduled. Process photopolymer plates, adhering to the highest standards of quality while controlling waste in the plate-making process. Operate/maintain equipment utilized in the plate-making process. Inspect, label, and pack finished product for shipment. Enter data as required into job management systems. Keep work area organized and uncluttered. Responsible for ongoing personal development including cross training in the plateroom and other areas as required. Assist in continuous process improvement in the plateroom Perform other duties as necessary to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing or printing experience desirable but not required.
Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:
Demonstrated excellent understanding of the platemaking process. Willing to work in a continuous operation environment (start on night shift). Hard worker that aspires to excel. Mature, motivated, willing to help team succeed. Mechanical aptitude helpful. Basic computer skills. Typing and MS Excel skills. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written). Ability to lift 30#.
