CNC Press Brake Set Up Operator – DIRECT

Matthews Industries, Inc. 23 2nd Street SW, Decatur, AL 35601 CNC Press Brake Set Up Operator Candidates must have prior experience programming and setting up CNC Press Brakes. The starting rate will be based upon experience. The successful candidate will be able to read the drawing, calculate the programming inputs for the controller, select the proper tooling and complete the setup with minimal assistance.

Essential Duties:

• Must be able to read and understand detailed drawings, follow routers and use math to perform calculations.
• Must have a good understanding of angles
• Must be able to read the drawings and plan the sequence of operations
• Must be able to select and position the correct flat, V-block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine.
• Must be able to program the controller to make the correct bends
• Must be able to perform visual inspections and dimensional inspections using calipers and tape measures (standard and metric).
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on press brakes as required.
• Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Performs all other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform essential duties
• High school education or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of CNC press brake setup experience
