The successful candidate must be able to read blueprints of parts, tape measures both standard and metric and calipers. They must have good math skills, understand conversion of decimals and know angles.
Essential Duties:
- Must be able to read and understand detailed drawings, follow routers and use math to perform calculations.
- Must have a good understanding of angles
- Must be able to read the drawings and plan the sequence of operations Must be willing to learn the following: 1.
How to select and position the correct flat, V-block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine. 2. How to program the controller to make the correct bends 3. How to perform visual inspections and dimensional inspections using calipers and tape measures (standard and metric).
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
- Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on press brakes as required.
- Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
- Performs all other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential duties
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of manual press brake experience producing sheet metal parts
