2nd Shift Press Brake Operator Zentech Consulting Tampa, FL 33619 The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to form metal parts to specification. This position ensures high-quality output, maintains production efficiency, and supports the company’s commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate press brake machines to form parts per customer and internal specifications Conduct 1st Article inspections and monitor product quality throughout the production run Ensure finished materials meet required specifications and quality standards Package and label materials appropriately Stage materials for efficient loading and unloading by crane or forklift Report all accidents, injuries, or incidents immediately to the Production Supervisor Maintain productivity and meet daily production and quality goals Keep work area clean and organized, including machines and material drop zones Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment Accurately complete production logs and records Adhere to all quality procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred Minimum one year of experience operating press brake machinery in a steel fabrication, service center, or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents Proficient with tape measure, calipers, and micrometer Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers and fractions Strong multitasking and time management abilities Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts required Safety-focused with a proactive mindset
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds Regular use of overhead cranes and forklifts Full range of motion required to operate machinery and handle materials
