Press Brake Operator 1st Shift USA Dutch, Inc. Graham, NC 27253 Job Description Position Summary The Press Brake Operator sets up and operates press brakes to form parts using a variety of metals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Select, load, install correct tooling; determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces Perform quality inspections of parts to produce products that exceed customer’s expectations Work from live schedule, verbal and written instruction, bills of material, routing, samples, blue prints and control plans Maintain good housekeeping in work area and stage completed product on skids Act responsibly to follow safe operating practices Performing other work-related duties as assigned Complete and demonstrate proficiency on all 30, 60, 90 and 180 day training requirements for the position. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Dimensional measuring, shop math competence and basic computer skills (Required) Capable of using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools (Required) Ability to read and understand blueprints/engineering drawings (Required) Effective communication skills to discuss and understand work procedures, training, general direction and other issues with co-workers and supervisor (Required) High school diploma or GED (Required) Minimum one year manufacturing experience or education experience directly related to press brake operation (Required) 2+ years set-up and operating experience, preferably with Trumpf equipment (Preferred) Previous metal fabrication background (Strongly Preferred) Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to plant environment to include moving mechanical parts, or airborne particles. Safety Glasses and Steel-toe shoes must be worn at all times. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
