Position Overview As a High Density Paving Machine Operator, you’ll be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of paving/finishing machines with high density screeds. You’ll lead by example—ensuring optimal machine performance and training personnel to deliver exceptional results on every job. Qualifications Parking lot paving experience Proven experience operating paver/finishing machines with high density screeds Strong knowledge of machine setup and adjustments to improve mat quality Familiarity with daily maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs Experience training screed operators and ground crews Effective communication skills with supervisors and concrete plant staff
Key Responsibilities:
Set up machine for appropriate width, depth, line, and grade Supervise and train screedmen and ground personnel Make on-the-fly machine adjustments to improve finish quality Perform minor mechanical repairs; assist mechanic with major repairs Clean and lubricate machine daily to ensure peak performance
