Job Description:

SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled Set-up Operator to join ourteam. Responsibilities include using tools/equipment such asmicrometer, calipers and gages, studies blueprints, sketches, anddrawings to determine dimensions and tolerance of finishedworkpiece and starting machine operation to adjust machinecontrols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

Reviews and followsSafety policies and procedures. Studies blueprints, sketches,drawings, manuals, Adcole reports, and CMM reports, specifications,or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finishedworkpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Selects,aligns, and secures holding fixtures, tools, attachments, locators,accessories, and materials on machines. Understand and know when tochange tools. Understand Offsets and adjustments and how they aremade. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctionsor out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls orcontrol media as required. Verifies conformance of finishedworkpiece to specifications. Sets up and operates machine on trialrun to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed controldata. Knows and understands how to recover the machine in cases oftool damage, machine fault or other similar circumstances. Otherduties as assigned.

Skills:

To perform this job successfully, anindividual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative ofthe knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonableaccommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilitiesto perform the essential functions. 1 or more years ofmanufacturing experience, preferred. Ability to use instruments formeasuring and identifying defects. Ability to read, write, andverbalize instructions in English. Experience with PLC or CNCoperations, preferred. High school diploma or general educationdegree (GED).

Pay Scale:

$19.91 – $22.50 per hour starting wagesAdditional pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts: $0.60 per hour
