Folder Gluer Operator Pioneer Packaging Inc. Chicopee, MA 01022 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Folder/gluing operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the finishing process by ensuring that printed materials are accurately folded, glued and prepared for packaging. This position requires a strong understanding of various folding techniques and the ability to operate folding/gluing machinery efficiently. The Folder will work closely with other team members to maintain quality standards and meet production deadlines. Responsibilities Operate folding machines to produce high-quality folded materials according to specifications. Set up and adjust folding equipment for different jobs, ensuring proper alignment and settings. Monitor the folding process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency. Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency before packaging. Collaborate with prepress and press teams to ensure seamless workflow from printing to finishing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in packaging finished products for shipment, ensuring they are securely prepared for delivery. Utilize forklift equipment as needed for moving materials within the production area. Skills Proficiency in operating folding machinery and understanding of various folding techniques. Experience in machining or fabrication is a plus, providing a well-rounded skill set for production tasks. Familiarity with prepress processes and printing operations enhances workflow efficiency. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues quickly. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Basic knowledge of forklift operation is advantageous for material handling tasks. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Hours:
