Guillotine Machine Operator Job Summary:

Expertly set up and operate guillotine machines, ensuring precise cuts and safe performance. This role involves managing material handling, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do Machine Operation:

Set up and operate guillotine machines with precision, ensuring safe and efficient performance.

Material Management:

Receive, identify, handle, and process materials for cutting, including proper loading and unloading of materials.

Precision Cutting:

Execute precise cuts according to specific technical drawings and specifications.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough inspections of cut materials, verifying dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality.

Material Sorting:

Classify and organize cut materials according to established protocols.

Safety Compliance:

Maintain a safe work environment by following strict safety procedures and regulations.

Machine Maintenance:

Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions, and contribute to ongoing maintenance efforts.

Operational Flexibility:

Assist with additional cutting or finishing processes and support team training initiatives.

What You’ll Bring Education:

High school diploma or equivalent technical certification preferred.

Experience:

Proven experience operating guillotine machines or similar cutting equipment. Background in manufacturing or scrap processing environments.

Technical Proficiency :

Advanced ability to read and interpret technical specifications. Comprehensive understanding of material cutting properties. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

Skills:

Meticulous attention to detail. Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Clear and effective communication skills.

Physical Capabilities:

Ability to stand for extended periods. Capacity to lift and move heavy materials safely. Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Workplace Physical Demands:

Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and crawling in tight spaces. Must be able to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a production environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. May involve working in confined spaces and both indoor and outdoor conditions. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): PPE is required, including but not limited to safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility apparel.

Frequent Movement:
