The ideal candidate will have a strong background in printing processes and a passion for producing high-quality printed materials. As a Pressman, you will be responsible for operating printing presses, ensuring the accuracy of print jobs, and maintaining quality control throughout the production process. Your expertise in typography, layout design, and color management will be essential to delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities Operate and maintain various types of printing presses, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Prepare and set up jobs by selecting appropriate materials and adjusting press settings according to specifications. Monitor the printing process to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results. Conduct prepress tasks including layout design, color management, and screen printing as required. Collaborate with the design team using Adobe Creative Suite to ensure accurate reproduction of designs. Perform quality control checks throughout the production run to identify any issues or inconsistencies. Fabricate custom components as needed using CNC machinery or other fabrication techniques. Safely operate forklifts for material handling within the production area. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a Pressman or in a similar role within the printing industry. Strong knowledge of typography, color management, and quality control processes. Familiarity with prepress procedures and layout design principles. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable. Experience with screen printing techniques is a plus. Ability to operate CNC machinery for fabrication tasks is preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
