The family has grown the business to provide products to Long Term Care centers, the prison systems, and local mompop pharmacies always with customer service at the forefront If you are an experienced printing press operator and Allied Gear 500 series, Mark Andy 2200 and Webtron 650, Custom Mark Andy P7s, Allied Gear 520 and Allied Gear F4, Holweg HP15, Weber 6# and a Weber Variable size mean anything to you, then we need to talk. If you don’t love your workplace, we really need to talk! Job Summary Sets up and operates flexographic UV printing press to print designs and lettering on rolls of board stock. Will be applying foil to and die cutting board stock.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Reads job orders and sets up machinery for specific customer requirements. Constantly checks and monitors quality of printing at prescribed intervals. Records and scans in appropriate documentation. Communicates non-conformance to department lead and/or supervision. Able to run machinery at acceptable speeds and scrap levels. Able to perform all functions in the “Make Ready” portion of process control. Obtains approval for startup from Quality Control or Supervision. Keeps machine and work area clean. Continuously follows instructions/directions of Startup and End of Day Clean Up Procedures. Able to troubleshoot mechanical or process control problems and repair. Must be able to perform changeovers and basic machine adjustments when required of operator. Has the ability to follow instruction from Board Department Lead and Supervisor. Willing to cross train on other Board Department machinery when asked. Performs all duties in a safe manner and follows all safety rules. Able to properly navigate and use the Autocount system to the required standards. Gives appropriate direction to the Press Assistant. Communicates with co-workers in a professional manner. Have the ability to differentiate between various colors and shades as part of quality control and product inspection duties. Any other duties determined by management. Attendance on-site required Supervisory

RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs and coordinates activities of the press assistant.

Candidate Requirements Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Require high school education or a

GED. 2-3

years Flexo experience prior to hiring will be beneficial.

Language skills:

Must be willing and able to communicate effectively.

Certificates and Registrations:

Must pass safety control check sheet and color chart. Must also be able to successfully pass a basic math, vocabulary and comprehension test.

Other:

Must be able to use a calculator and understand concepts of basic math. Must be proficient at reading a ruler and distinguish colors. Must be familiar with basic small tools.

Required training documents:

Safety training, press operation documentation, and doctor blade training is required. Physical demands Must be able to push, pull, kneel, reach, sit, hear and see. Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours at the time. Must be able to see fine detailing in finish product. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs on a random basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees may feel vibration from machinery. Noise levels are required PPE levels on machinery, ear plugs or earmuffs required. No other negatives noted.
