About the Position Second-level digital printing professional responsible for producing high-quality materials for a state agency supporting its programs and mission. Operate high-end digital commercial printers; impose files and send print-ready files to print. Cut, fold, trim, and perform other bindery functions using various equipment needed to produce materials. Manage projects, production work, and scheduling. Complete assignments according to specifications, identify and troubleshoot issues, maintain quality standards, and meet deadlines. Review final print materials and perform regular maintenance, updates, adjustments, and calibrations on machines to ensure optimal performance and print quality. Stay informed about the latest developments in print technology. Communicate and collaborate with management and internal clients regarding production capabilities based on their requests. Keep track of digital impressions and machine usage; maintain inventory and order supplies as needed. Promptly troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, working with internal staff and equipment providers to address technical problems. Lastly, keep a clean and organized work environment. Applicants must pass an extensive background check and have a valid driver’s license. What you’ll need to be Successful Strong work ethic with physical stamina for extended standing and lifting of heavy print materials. Effective time management skills to meet deadlines. Basic computer skills for handling digital files in various formats. Good understanding of prepress, file management, and paper stocks. Quality control in the printing workflow. Knowledge of variable data merging and postal addressing. Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and coordinate equipment repairs. Adaptable to changes and able to perform under tight deadlines. Good communication skills and ability to work with a team. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of experience. •

Agency Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college/university and two (2) to six (6) years of experience in work related to the described duties, two (2) years of which must have been in an area of work directly related to the responsibilities and tasks required for this position. Previous Print Shop or Prepress experience preferred. Real-world experience with commercial printing and print management at a professional level. Digital printing experience is required; Canon printer experience is preferred. Experience with Fiery Command Workstation, Fiery Impose, or similar software. Experience with bindery work and equipment.
