Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Printing Press Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing press machines to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate offset, flexographic, or digital printing presses (depending on equipment used). Review job tickets and ensure correct materials and specifications are used. Monitor press runs for quality, registration, and color consistency. Make minor adjustments to equipment and troubleshoot printing issues as needed. Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on press equipment. Maintain accurate production records and follow safety protocols. Collaborate with prepress, finishing, and quality control teams. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the press area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical training preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience operating commercial printing presses (Heidelberg, Komori, Manroland, etc.). Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Understanding of color theory and print quality standards. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to meet production deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with automated press controls and digital press systems. Familiarity with different substrates and inks. Forklift certification is a plus.
