This hands-on role is responsible for the full setup, operation, and maintenance of the press, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate offset sheetfed printing press Review job orders for specifications on quantity, paper stock, colors, and special instructions Inspect and prepare printing plates, making minor repairs as needed Measure paper thickness and adjust press settings accordingly Regulate ink and dampening flow for optimal print quality Monitor and adjust ink density, registration, and positioning during runs Troubleshoot and maintain press components, including roller replacement and feeder adjustments Direct, train, and oversee the press crew to ensure efficient workflow Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are met Qualifications 2+ years experience as a Pressman Strong mechanical aptitude and in-depth press knowledge Ability to distinguish subtle color variations and maintain print consistency Skilled in troubleshooting, quality control, and press maintenance
