Position Summary We seek a skilled and experienced Komori Pressman to operate and maintain our 40″ 6-Color Komori Lithrone press with a coater. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in offset printing, an eye for detail, and the ability to produce high-quality print work efficiently and consistently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Examine job orders to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions. Measure plate thickness and insert packing sheets. Wash plates to remove protective gum coating. Fill the ink and dampening solution fountains. Adjust controls to regulate the flow of ink. Requires knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, and safety requirements, and skills to perform assignments Skill to read and understand job specifications to determine the press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully Must have sufficient knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate use of the press and the corrective adjustments required to run five more items Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a single or multi-color offset press to print single-color, two-color, and/or multi-color work, including large solids, screen tints, lines, and halftones with critical color values and registration requirements ranging from hairline to critical. • Operate similarly situated equipment that applies a variety of non-ink-based coatings to a paper web or sheet stock. Review job specifications to determine the press set-up according to the imposition of the run (sheet-wise or work and turn) Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press being operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking for correct image positioning, preparingblankets, adjusting tension and register, etc. Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments before the production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work. Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment Experience and Qualifications Over three years as lead press operator on a Komori sheetfed press. Knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, and equipment. Ability to interpret job specifications for press set-up. Understand press capabilities and necessary adjustments for efficient operation. Knowledge of packing pressure for optimal printing. Skills in using a micrometer for plate alignment and performing routine maintenance. Ability to adjust feeder and feed board components effectively.

40 hours per week with potential overtime on weekends.

Third Shift:

11 PM to 7 AM. Monday to Friday – Overtime may be required. Weekend availability is necessary.
