Press Operator Job Summary:
The stamping press operator forms sheets of metal that produce finished materials and maintains departmental requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates press by placing sheets of metal on a die. Aligns metal properly so the press can form a sheet of metal to proper specifications. Inspects finished parts for quality. Informs supervisor of problems with equipment or materials. Document daily production totals Maintains a clean area around stamp press Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous related experience preferred; however, on-the-job training is provided.
Physical Requirements:
Physically able to operate stamping press. Able to bend or kneel frequently. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
