Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator for the Greeneville area! This is a night shift, M-TH 4pm to 2: 30am with occasional OT/Weekends.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to production schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of print advertising, graphic design, and color management, as well as a commitment to safety and efficiency in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
Operate various types of printing presses, including screen printing and digital presses.
Set up press equipment according to job specifications and perform necessary adjustments for optimal performance.
Monitor the printing process to ensure quality standards are met, including color accuracy and layout design.
Conduct routine maintenance on press equipment to minimize downtime and ensure consistent operation.
Collaborate with the prepress team to prepare files for printing and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
Fabricate print materials as needed, ensuring compliance with project deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role within the printing industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of print advertising, graphic design principles, and color management techniques.
Familiarity with prepress processes and layout design is advantageous.
Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues as they arise.
