Job Description:

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To prepare, assemble andinstall vehicle and/or chipper components to requiredspecifications for Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Unit andFinish departments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use and conductproper care of PPE
• Read and interpret schematics (blueprints)
• Read and interpret work orders
• Use basic hand tools such as tapemeasurer and specialty equipment
• Learn and operate all equipmentwithin the work area (cell)
• Perform rework as required
• SupportAPS (Altec Production System) initiatives. May participate in RCIevents
• Willing to move to other work areas in order to supportproduction needs. (Cross-train)
• Install unit vehicle and/orchipper components and accessories
• Testing of installedcomponents
• Follow established safety, environmental and qualitypolicies, procedures and practices
• Maintain work area and shoptools/equipment
• Maintain daily time records
• Other duties asassigned.
• Job duties may vary by location

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE,AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Abilityto read, write, and comprehend English is required.
• Basiccomputer usage knowledge desired
• Vocational Training in lieu ofexperience will be considered.
• Ability to read tape measures,blue prints, and schematics desired.
• General knowledge of atleast one of the following desired o Mechanical o Hydraulics oElectrical o Manufacturing / Production processes
