Position Summary The 2nd Shift – Assembler will be responsible for putting together and repairing various parts/pieces of complex components as per product design to ensure they are suitable for the completion of the final product. Essential Duties/Job Responsibilities (Job Duties) Use job specific tools and equipment to align materials and assemble/repair parts to build complex units. Take precise measurements to ensure accurate fit of components as per design. Select or modify components according to specifications. Inspect components prior to assembly to detect and report on defective materials, malfunctions, or questionable conditions. Ensure that assembled items meet quality specifications. Perform material handling functions, including loading materials for job runs using hoist or forklift.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

High School Degree or GED. Ability to work independently within a team environment. Ability to read and operate measurement tools. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and schematics Ability to skillfully and safely operate job specific tools and equipment Strong verbal communication skills

Experience:

Experience as an assembler strongly preferred. Previous experience in cases appreciated. Experience in a light manufacturing setting preferred. Forklift experience a plus.

Requirements:

Work environment and working conditions are reflective of a light manufacturing setting. Perform work on concrete floors for duration of shift. Must be able to lift and move (push, pull, carry) items weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to raise arms above shoulders regularly and freely rotate arms/shoulders to lift/move parts. Must be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend and squat when needed. Work will include repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and leg motion. Will need hand and finger flexibility and dexterity and excellent eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
