Role:
Join our mission-driven team as an Assembly Technician supporting the precision assembly and testing of rocket engine components. You’ll play a key role in building hardware for test, qualification, and flight—contributing directly to next-generation spaceflight technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Precision assembly of rocket engine components (combustion devices, valves, turbomachinery, avionics, test equipment) Component disassembly, root cause diagnostics, and repairs Hydraulic, nitrogen, and helium leak testing Hydro proof and environmental testing prep Inspection to ultra-tight tolerances (up to 0.0001 in) Strict cleanliness practices (liquid/gaseous oxygen compatibility) Equipment integration, procurement, and custom tooling support Hazardous systems handling (high-pressure systems and chemicals) Process improvement and new method development Support for DFMA and PFMEA studies Writing and improving manufacturing work instructions Non-conformance detection and corrective action deployment
What We’re Looking For:
4-6 years of direct experience with valve, turbomachinery, or engine assembly Mastery of high-precision and tight-tolerance assembly Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Experience with CAD tools and software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Proven success in process development and optimization Strong communication and teamwork skills Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or current Green Card holder
Physical & Availability Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders/stairs and lift up to 50 lbs Flexible work schedule; may include overtime and weekends based on hardware/testing needs Willingness to travel for training during the first 6-12 months #HP1
