Job Summary:
The F.A.T. Technician performs factory acceptance testing and verification tasks for OSS Umbilicals & Products, ensuring product quality and safety before delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fiber optic splicing/testing and low/medium voltage cable testing. Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests (10,000 30,000 psi). Set up and maintain high-pressure equipment (water jets, Hydratron pumps). Measure and record resistance, voltage, continuity, etc. Interpret schematics (electrical, fiber optic, hydraulic). Troubleshoot test equipment and product issues. Analyze test data to determine pass/fail outcomes. Document non-conformances (NCRs) and escalate as needed. Follow safety procedures including LOTO and PPE use. Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure timely communication of status and updates.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Relevant technical experience preferred. Local candidates to the Mobile, AL area preferred.
