What You’ll Get to Do
The Assembler 1 is focused on building shower door units of various types, using assembly instructions, blueprints, parts lists, and bill of materials, and reports to the Production Supervisor.
This role is perfect for an individual who has a keen eye for detail, the ability to read blueprints and interpret instructions, and amitment to quality control, ensuringponents are assembled accurately and meet specifications while following safety guidelines. A vital member of the Assembly Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
Retrieve glass workpieces used to assemble the shower doors
Inspect all glass for defects such as chips, bubbles, scratches, blown holes, proper edgework, etc., as well as metallic workpieces to ensure correct length, finish, etc. according to the work order
Use buffer to buff all marked defects
Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within guidelines
Assemble the door, using assembly instructions or blueprint specifications and attach appropriate labels What We Are Looking For
At least one year of construction, carpentry, or experience assembling a product from start to finish
Ability to work at a fast pace
Ability to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools
Ability to perform calculations and understand measurements, including converting decimals to fractions
Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
