Lex’s PDU Assemblers are responsible for assembling both electrical and non-electrical component parts/pieces into sub-assemblies and/or finished products while adhering to a specified set of drawings or diagrams. They use hand tools to produce operationally sound products and structures. Lex Assemblers pride themselves in completing product in accordance with Lex’s high-quality standards. In this Assembler position you will: Follow technical instructions; interpret shop drawings and technical terms. Be able to determine the quality and quantity of parts and materials needed to assemble products. Assemble product in an organized fashion and in collaboration with other team members. Commit to perform quality workmanship. Follow all company procedures and directives Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace Lex Assemblers have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent related hands-on experience. Ability to interpret technical documentation preferred. Excellent hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail. Competence in safely using hand tools. Prior experience in assembling products in a manufacturing setting preferred. Good command of the English language (speaking, understanding, reading & writing) Basic math skills (adding, subtracting and counting). Ability to stand for long periods of time and to carry up to 50 pounds unassisted throughout the day. Ability to, perform hand and wrist assembly involving repetitive motion. Willingness to take on new challenges.
