JOB SUMMARY
Entry level Assembler responsible for safely assembling equipment by following instructions by supervisors or trainers. These assemblies vary in size and require the use of a variety of mechanical, electrical and manual tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to follow directions to utilize proper tools to align, drill and secureponents with correct bolts and torque to specifications.
Cut, fit, bend, and adjust parts for fit or function.
Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure.
Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Ability to perform assembly operations in designated work area.
Assemble parts and subassemblies to createponents.
Assemble parts correctly.
Drill holes for wires, hoses and small parts.
Operate a torch or grinder to cut and shape parts.
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Install various truck accessories (decals, stencils, trim, carpet, flowering).
Lift and stackpleted subassemblies and parts up to 35lbs.
Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands.
Follow verbal and written work instructions.
Attention to detail necessary to ad to quality standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment byplying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Demonstrate effective interpersonalmunication skills.
Regular attendance required.
All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3+ months experience in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Previous experience with basic hand tools.
Demonstrated experience using various small and pneumatic hand tools.
Requires the use of simple arithmetic and measuring instruments such as caliper, scale, and measuring tape.
OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•All positions require the ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable amodations. Detailed physical job analysis available upon request.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Sense of sound is required.
Sense of balance is required.
Limb and finger dexterity is required.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform twisting, turning, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling motions.
Ability to lift at least 35lbs.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)—steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, vest.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions will be inside and outside w temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold for extended periods of time. This position is regularly exposed to vibration and loud noises.
