2 nd shift Mon-Thurs 4:00 PM-2:30 AM EST Contractor will trainon 1st shift and then transition to 2nd shift and will receive a 6%shift differential increase upon change 1 – 2 years of sheet metalassembly/aircraft sheet metal structure experience is NOT required.(willing to see candidates with ANY sheet metal experience .Previous experience as an Assembler and/or Aircraft StructuresMechanic is highly preferred. Previous aircraft structure on theF-16, C-130, and F-35 is highly preferred. Interpersonal skills andability to interface with all levels, to work in teams orindependently and communicate effectively with co-workers orsupervisory staff. Performs a variety of operations to manufacture,assemble and/or refurbish aircraft parts and structures such asF-16 canopies, F-35 canopies, and C-130 sub-assembly components.
Assemblies can require controlled tooling as well as build toprint. Tasks include aligning parts on jigs using both templatesand fixtures. Performs part-fitting operations such as minorfiling, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling,reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working. Measures partswith a variety of methods to verify dimensions. May modifyincomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes andperform repairs. Works from blueprint diagrams, drawings,specifications, and shop orders. Monitors and verifies quality anddevelops corrective action. Performs other duties as assigned. Norelocation assistance provided. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Mathematical ability to perform and/or understand the calculationsused in assigned areas and ability to read and interpretblueprints, specifications, and technical data. Competently usescomputers and other systems to access, maintain and manipulatedata.
