Position Summary:

The CIL, a Lummus Group Co., Assembler Lead is responsible for managing part of an Assembly team and giving work instructions to ensure the correct assembly of subcomponents according to specifications. This includes examining and layout of parts according to prints and the ability to ensure the component parts and finished parts adhere to quality specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mentors, manages, coaches, works alongside, and helps improve the performance of part of an Assembly team by providing work instructions to ensure the correct assembly of subcomponents according to print specifications. Understands and utilizes blueprints and other technical instructions; interprets when required. Sets up and operates electric, air and manual hand tools used in assembly operations; trains assembly team(s) on usage. Reports verbally and written on the progress and finished work to team and leadership. Inspects products and trains team to inspect and verify quality at completion. Operates forklift or electric transporter. Confers with team and other departments to resolve assembly problems. Performs tasks in other departments as assigned by supervisor Basic Requirements High School graduate at a minimum – AAS degree in a technical field is a plus Strong Mechanical Aptitude Minimum 3-5 years of related experience History of problem solving and troubleshooting using simple solutions Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate both verbally and in written forms Has 1 or more years’ experience training and motivating team members Organization and planning Customer oriented, courteous, respected leadership style High Detail Orientation required Ability to work with other teams, leaders, and engineers to facilitate corrective action and problem solving Preferred Requirements History of promoting qualified employees Ability to read assembly / flat drawings and or electrical schematics Work Environment /

Physical Demands:

The position includes exposures to significant temperature variations including both heat and cold. In addition, it requires, on occasion, exposure to significant allergens, including breathing and touching and the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires executing all production related tasks assigned by the supervisor including lifting, manufacturing, and clean-up. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, use repetitive movement, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend and twist and move about the work area with or without assistance; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds repetitively. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires face-to-face discussions with the individual’s team, a willingness to work with others in a group or team, attention to detail with accuracy and the ability to follow directions expeditiously.
