THE ROLE
The Sr. Assembler will be responsible for a being a member of the Manufacturing team in Thomasville, GA. In this role, the incumbent will also demonstrate the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that operational initiatives are met.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality. Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence
Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products
Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping
Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures
Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site Completes required documentation related to production Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities
Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Highly Preferred high school education or GED
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly or related field
