Light Industrial Assembler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Light Industrial Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and learning various aspects of assembly, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC components. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in small teams. Responsibilities Utilize power, hand, torque, and measuring tools for assembly tasks. Engage in tack welding, cutting metal or filtration fibers, and mechanical assembly. Ensure precision and quality, avoiding errors such as dents when hammering metal wheels. Collaborate effectively with team members to build fan boxes from metal or fiberglass. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. Use tools such as saws, nail guns, drills, hammers, staple guns, and rivet guns. Read a tape measure accurately for precise measurements. Assemble dehumidifier wheels, fans, and large dehumidifier units for HVAC manufacturers. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience with hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Mechanical assembly and electrical testing skills. Production assembly and construction experience. Proficiency in reading and writing English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in construction or assembly. Experience in fabrication or assembly plants. Capability to occasionally push, pull, lift, and carry weights as specified. Physical stamina for frequent standing, walking, bending, and maneuvering. Why Work Here? Work Environment The shop is a metal building without climate control, offering a warm environment in summer and a cooler setting in winter. Station fans provide air circulation. The position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with occasional Friday operations to meet sales demands. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 – $23.00/hr.
