Assembler-2nd Shift Position Available In Essex, Massachusetts

Cambridgeport Air Systems, a sister company of Cox Engineering, iscurrently seeking an entry level assembler and general laborer to workwith the assembly and insulation team to ensure our products aredesigned, built and delivered right every time.

The ideal candidate will be a team player and have mechanical aptitude.

Job duties will include, but not limited to, reading of blueprints, useof various hand tools, fastening parts and assemblies, examiningconnections for correct fit and gathering of needed parts and materials.

Opportunities for cross training in other departments.

Works under immediate supervision. Other duties may be assigned asnecessary.

• Essential Functions:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions,blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts,subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or readingmeasurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit;fastening parts and subassemblies.

• Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in a fast paced, large non-temperature controlledmanufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 10-30 lbs. with the assistance of another employee orusing a cart
• Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day
• Sitting a minimum of 0 hours a day
• Walking a minimum of 8 hours a day
• Pulling/Pushing a minimum of 4 hours a day
• Ability to pass physical exam, criminal background and drug screening

• Required Experience:

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Punctual
• Able to work with minimum supervision
