Job Description
The Electromechanical Assembler I position will play a key role within ateam that will work together to assemble our customer’s product. Theability to perform effectively in a manufacturing environment and inconjunction with meeting delivery schedules & customer requirements iscritical to this position.
- Responsibilities include but are notlimited to:
- This position will perform a variety of tasks ranging fromrepetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations onelectronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as cablesand harnesses.
Ability to read and understand, in English, the customerDrawings, Parts List, Wire List, Processes, Specifications, and assemblyRouters for step-by-step instructions on how to manufacture the wireharness and cable assembly. Production of wire harness and cableassemblies using hand and/or power tools (including specializedcrimpers, soldering tools, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, wire strippersand cutters, precision measuring instruments, etc.). Ability to usemeasuring devices and understand how to read them. Daily cable andharness techniques (wire cutting, cable prep and layup,connectorization, crimping, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, useof lacing tape and spot ties for open wire bundles, testing, etc.).Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
Conduct in-process inspections on product in accordance with qualityspecifications. Ability to read and write in English and fill in WorkOrder information and sign off on Router Operations. Perform rework onrequired assemblies by following authorized work instructions via ReworkRouter. Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies at 1st, 2nd & finaltests. Ability to use Microsoft Access to check-out and check-in tools(crimp tools, test fixtures, mold fixtures and harness boards) usedduring production

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 3 to 5 yearsexperience in a wire harness and cable assembly manufacturingenvironment Electro-Mechanical assembly experience Strong crimping,connectorization, and soldering skills Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment Attention to detail is critical and required for thisposition

- High School Diploma J-STDCertification is required IPC-620 Certification is required

- This position requires use of information oraccess to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in ArmsRegulations (ITAR).

defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S.Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, orRefugee. Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking/understandingEnglish. Must be able to pass Visual Acuity requirements (color, depthperception and field of vision). Must be able to work under a microscopefor inspection purposes. Must be able to pass Manual Dexterityrequirements (handling small parts effectively, demonstrate fine motorskills and dexterity to manipulate tweezers, small pliers and parts withspeed and precision). Must be able to use and understand how to readmeasuring devices (ruler, tape measure, caliper, etc.). Must be able tohave steady hand in applying epoxy to cable assembly and meet customerspecifications. Perform a number of complex, sometimes repetitive,electro-mechanical assembly operations of wire harnessing parts,components and subassemblies. Must possess sufficient hand and upperbody strength and gross motor skills to route cable bundles of varioussizes and weights (cable assemblies regularly weigh more than 20 lbs.and some exceed several hundred lbs. and need to be moved around onlarge wooden spools). Must possess sufficient hand and upper bodystrength in carrying harness boards to and from their storage area(averaging 20+ lbs. and the size of a sheet of plywood 4′ x 8′ 9/80work sch dule
