Job Summary:
Performs assembly, installs, and wires components. Pulls and packages hardware for rail industry products.
Department:
AssemblyShift and Hours:
Monday-Wednesday; 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
Compensations:
Non-exempt;pay will be commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Operates hand and power tools.
Positions, aligns, and adjusts work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
Reads and interprets schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, work orders to determine assembly instructions.
Perform daily housekeeping and cleanliness procedures.
Troubleshoot and adjust equipment, as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to do basic math.
Ability to read, write, and understand and interpret instructions.
Education and Other Requirements:
Able to lift 50lbs or less.
Must pass the drug screen.
Must be able to work in a team with others.
Must be able to follow instructions and take directions.
Working Conditions:
Must follow personal protective equipment policies.
Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise and fumes.
Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sharp edges, and congested work area.
Will be pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, grasping, and lifting to 50 pounds.
