Employees may choose from three flexible, daytime schedules. Some overtime may be required. Pay will be based upon experience.

Job Summary:

The 8 Way Hand Tie Assembler is responsible for accurately setting nails for twine, to tie springs in such a manner that is consistent with the 8 way tie standards. Must maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Functions:

Ability to read and interpret production tickets. Ability to hammer and nail. Ability to accurately read tape measurements. Ability to tie two types of knots for 8 way method. Must keep a clean and organized work area.

Preferred Skills:

Must have basic carpentry and 8 way tie method knowledge Must have knowledge of operating pneumatic and manual tools Communication proficiency Time management skills

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of one year of experience in related field Must be 18 years of age

Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne dust particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, hearing protection is provided. Safety glasses must be worn in the factory during working hours.

Physical Demands:

The position requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 85 pounds or heavier. The company provides safety glasses, hearing protection, masks, and low back support belts. It is mandatory that safety devices be worn during working hours.

Productivity Requirements:

Accurately complete 25 pieces per day.
