Job Description
Assembly & Test Technician Equilibar, LLC Fletcher, NC 28704 Equilibar is looking for a part-time Assembly & Test Technician for day shift for 20 and 25 hours per week. Shift hours are flexible, but within the core hours of 8 A.M. until 4 P.M. Mondays thru Fridays. The Assembly & Test Technician builds back pressure regulators, valves, subassemblies, and accessories to design specifications with custom modifications as directed by engineering team. The technician tests assembled products for leaks and performance as set forth by customer application needs. The work environment is indoors, in a clean, well-lit, conditioned space. You will directly report to the Production Manager and work in the Production department. 90% of your time will involve assembling, testing, and cleaning parts for valve assemblies. The other 10% will be spent entering data into the computer for each build and test result, or performing minor polishing functions as needed. Additional duties may be assigned as needed by the Production Manager. Your work will be monitored through a metric that tracks how successful the assembly was at being built the first time through, with no issues arising.
Education Requirements :
High school graduate with technical degree in a mechanical trade or at least two years of equivalent mechanical experience.
Job Duties:
Clean components using an ultrasonic cleaner, ensuring parts are clean and free of debris/lint prior to assembly Assemble and test regulators, valves and subassemblies according to specifications provided Safely use pressurized equipment used for testing Work closely with engineers to provide feedback regarding testing results and any issues that may arise during the processes Maintain accurate records for tools used in the assembly and testing processes (pneumatic torque wrenches, hand-held tools, calipers, etc) Monitor amount of build materials consumed, and inform purchasing manager if more materials need to be ordered
Requirements :
Prior experience in manufacturing and/ or assembly Safety Minded. Pressurized gas is used on a regular basis Good problem-solving skills Must be able to regularly lift and handle 50-75 pounds without assistance Knowledge of hand tools (pneumatic torque wrenches, compressed air tanks, various other hand-held tools). Job entails connecting valves and regulators to compressed air and pressurized test systems. Ability to respond to change and put the needs of your coworkers ahead of your own needs Helpful (not required) to have had experience working with an
ISO 9001
quality system
