Assembly Technician 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 2500 West Front Street, Statesville, NC 28677 About the Role AUTEC Car Wash Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role requires a hands-on professional who can oversee the assembly, subassembly, testing, and quality control of AUTEC’s advanced car wash equipment. The Assembly Technician will work closely with engineers, production teams, and quality control personnel to ensure efficient workflows, adherence to high-quality standards, and on-time production. This role plays a crucial part in the production of our car wash equipment and contributes to our commitment to delivering high-quality products. This position is located at our Statesville, NC facility. Key Responsibilities Assemble AUTEC’s advanced car wash equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. Ensure all assembly processes follow blueprint specifications, engineering drawings, and technical instructions. Construct subassemblies, including hydraulic tanks, high-pressure manifolds, pump systems, and control panels. Perform final equipment assembly, ensuring all components are properly installed and functioning prior to shipment. Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues before final installation. Conduct performance tests including continuity tests, voltage measurements, and operational inspections to ensure all systems meet AUTEC’s quality and safety standards. Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to refine processes, address defects, and improve product performance. Maintain accurate records of quality checks, test results, and final inspections. Share expertise and best practices with fellow technicians to improve assembly efficiency. Assist in the onboarding and skill development of new technicians, ensuring team members are cross trained in various aspects of assembly. Identify process improvements and work collaboratively with the engineering and production teams to enhance efficiency and product quality. Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company policies related to electrical and mechanical assembly. Ensure proper use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to prevent workplace hazards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent Previous 3-5 experience of manufacturing experience with hands on assembly Electrical experience with strong knowledge of electrical components, circuits, and systems. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time Familiarity with power tools and hand tools Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform various physical tasks. Full body mobility with the ability to bend, twist, squat, climb stairs, and work on ladders. Ability to work on feet for extended periods with hands above the head.
