Assembly Technician Position Available In Rowan, North Carolina

Job Title:

Bundler Job Description We are seeking a skilled Bundler for our 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The Bundler will work closely with a welder/machine operator to ensure the efficient operation of the weld line. The role requires attention to detail, strong math skills, and the ability to interpret blueprints and sketches. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to prepare material accordingly. Adjust weld parameters and machine settings to ensure welds meet specifications. Inspect welds for non-conformances, missing welds, and perform repairs or rework as necessary. Perform daily machine maintenance. Inspect pipes for quality issues and ensure correct end preparation. Offload and transport pipes to the correct location. Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures, including dye penetrant testing, inspection of grooves, and preparation and painting of rusty or welded materials. Handle assembly/make-on couplings/fittings and ensure they are assembled to print/sketch. Review job information sheets and technical instructions to process jobs accordingly. Operate the pneumatic tensioner and crimper when applicable. Input information into the computer system and utilize computer data to perform the job accurately. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of welding experience, with the ability to obtain a 2G certification. Basic computer skills. 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings. Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and timely results production. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to follow up on tasks and assignments promptly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform basic business mathematical functions. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Compliance with all operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs. Work Environment The role requires constant standing, walking, hearing, and grasping objects. Frequent talking, pulling/pushing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching are also necessary. Occasionally, climbing, balancing, and using fingers to move objects may be required. The job demands medium physical strength, with the ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and over 10 pounds constantly. The work environment can include extreme temperatures, fumes, odors, dust, loud noises, and wet conditions. Protective gear such as arm, eye, feet, and leg protection is constantly required, with additional protection for hearing, skin, and respiration as necessary. Operation of hand/power tools, shop machinery, and computer equipment is required, along with a good understanding of basic math and drawings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salisbury, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr.
