Job Summary:
In the wall panel department, using power tools such as staple guns, nail guns, saws, etc., lifting, and being able to read work orders are essential to the job. A wall panel assembler must be able to accurately read a tape measure to perform their daily tasks. An assembler must be safety oriented, motivated and have a positive attitude. Will work along with others in the department, as well as individuals in other departments in the warehouse to get materials needed to complete orders. Will lift and move pieces of material 50lbs plus on a regular basis. An assembler will ensure that all products in the wall panel department (i.e. safety padding, scores tables, pole vault and high jump boxes) are of high quality and up to company standards. Responsible for communicating with the warehouse Production Supervisor to keep them current on the status of orders and their estimated completion time. A successful wall panel assembler must be dependable, responsible, detail oriented, thorough, and takes pride in their work.
Essential Job Duties:
The Wall Panel Manufacturing Associate is responsible for, but not limited to: Working with a team in a production setting, using hand and power tools to assemble wall panels according to customer orders Prep material used in the assembly of wall panels using hand and power tools, air nail guns and other automated equipment as needed Pick and pull production material as needed Load, unload, store and package inventory as needed Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment while observing all posted safety rules Maintain a safe and clean work environment using the “6-S” system: Sort•Set in order Sustain•Shine Standardize•
Safety Wall Panel Assembly Qualifications :
Woodworking, carpentry or construction experience Must be able to read a tape measure and able to read a work order Ability to operate equipment such as; staplers, nail guns, routers, variety of saws, tape measures, glue guns Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift 50lbs on a repetitive basis, occasionally up to 100lbs or more Have a desire to produce a quality product with a team effort in the assembly process Monday through Friday 7am to 3:45pm
