Job Description

Mechanically Inclined Assembler 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 2300 Industrial Park SE Drive, Wilson, NC 27893 Emco Wheaton is looking for an energetic individual to join our team! If you can show job longevity (more than one or two years at each job) are able to read a tape measure and are mechanically inclined we’d like to hear from you! Our Mechanical Team Member is responsible for assembling mechanical aspects of parts through standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.

Essential Functions:

Assemble parts and subassemblies to specifications using manual and/or pneumatic air tools. Requires print reading and basic math skills as well as the ability to use a tape measure and common hand tools and operate assembly machines. Ability to work from drawings or specifications. Ability to work in stationary standing position for full shifts. Heavy lifting of up to 60 to 70 pounds unassisted. Lifting 100 pounds with help. Requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the goals of the organization.

Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret drawings. Must be able to read, understand and interpret written and/or verbal instructions and have good communication skills in English. Ability to deal with changing priorities on a daily basis. Ability to work closely with a team. Prefer at least 3 years of mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

Day shift Monday to Friday, some overtime is required and will require an early morning start. (5AM or 6AM)
