TheFinisher/Assembler role will be responsible for assembly andfinishing operations on aluminum chassis and cold plates for theAerospace and Defense Industries. This is a critical role withinthe assembly team and requires a detailed mindset. This rolereports to the Sr. Manufacturing Manager. Essential Duties andResponsibilities Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
Perform prep grind work using pneumatic grinders and DA sanders onaluminum chassis including removal of tack welds and excess brazein preparation for CNC machining. Perform final finish operationusing pneumatic tooling to produce consistent finish on aluminumchassis and cold plates. Inspects 100% of pieces for cosmeticappearance and obvious non-conformities. Installation of variouscomponents of hardware per specifications or directions frommanager. Follow Job Travelers for specific routing steps to beperformed. Logging activity in ERP system for time and piece counttracking requirements. Maintain traceability of parts and workorders as parts move through finishing. Cleans work areas, orequipment, to maintain a clean and safe work area as required.
Bonding of assembly components. Other duties as assigned. DesiredExperience and Attributes Autobody finishing experience is a plus,but not necessary. Mixing epoxy’s is a plus. Familiarity with usingnon-electric hand tools preferred. Must have experience withfinishing aluminum using pneumatic tooling (i.e. Dynabrade)preferred. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Ability toreach internal drawings and use basic measuring equipment. Workswell with others. Fine attention to detail. Commitment to quality.
