Job Description

Advanced Assembler Mercury Corporation Hammondsport, NY 14840 Advanced Assembler We are looking for an experienced Advanced Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This individual should be able to work well with a team and collaborate with people from other departments.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work instruction to accurately assemble components Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to perform assembly tasks Assemble electrical and mechanical components, including wires, connectors, switches, sensors, and various hardware Install, fasten, and secure parts using techniques such as soldering, crimping, riveting, and adhesives Inspect individual parts and completed assemblies for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards Communicate challenges, potential improvements, or suggestions to team leads or supervisors Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while operating tools, equipment, and machinery Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Document actions by using company software to track production and inventory Assembles parts to product using air screw guns, manual screw drivers, battery operated screw guns, peeling off labels, and stamping

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Basic math abilities Experience in electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to read blueprints preferred Ability to read and understand work instructions and to enter data into company software Understanding of mechanical and electrical components, including their functions and interactions Experience using hand and power tools Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision in fast-paced environment Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines in a manufacturing setting Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional loud noises. A representative wage range is included in this posting. Final wage will be based on experience.
