• About the Role
• PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a
• dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler
• to support our aerospace client in
• Bohemia, NY
• . As a key player in the production of lighting systems for Boeing 737 aircraft, you’ll be part of a high-impact team that ensures quality, precision, and performance in every component assembled. This is a
• full-time, 6-month consultant position
• with the potential for overtime and long-term growth in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
• _This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license._

• What You’ll Be Doing
• As an Assembler, your day-to-day will include: + Performing
• mechanical assembly
• of raw materials using hand and electric tools + Reading and interpreting
• blueprints, schematics, and method sheets
• + Conducting
• quality control inspections
• and identifying defects + Managing inventory at your workstation + Reworking or repairing products based on engineering updates + Maintaining a
• clean, safe, and organized
• work area + Standing for 8-hour shifts and lifting up to 30 lbs
• What You Need to Succeed

• Required Qualifications:

• + High school diploma or GED (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu) + 1-3 years of prior assembly experience + Ability to use small tools (e.g., torque wrench) + Must be able to read and speak English fluently + Able to stand for full shifts and lift 30 lbs + Willingness to work overtime as needed

• Preferred Qualifications:

• + Experience with
• electronics or product assembly
• + Familiarity with
• hand and electric power tools
• + Ability to read
• technical drawings and blueprints
