Position Responsibilities:
Perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
Focus on the fabrication and assembly of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, including wiring harnesses and panel/box circuit breaker assembly and wiring, across multiple platforms.
Support continuous improvement of products and processes by participating in the design, fabrication, and testing of new concepts and technology.
Travel to other Boeing facilities may be required.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the specified location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including blueprints and schematics.
Minimum 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
Minimum 1+ years of experience with precision measuring tools.
Minimum 1+ years of experience in fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems, using production industry standards.
Minimum 1+ years of experience with machine shop processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of assembly and production processes, including understanding of design definitions, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and functional tests.
Ability to differentiate production processes from in-service procedures and requirements.
Experience in evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology, and processes to meet conformance and production requirements.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to team objectives, motivation, and collaboration.
Experience working as a member of a high-performing team.
Understanding of metal properties and other commonly used materials.
Full understanding of shop practices including FOD prevention, material handling, safety protocols, calibration, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection.
Must-Have Skills:
Ability to read and understand drawings/schematics.
Adaptability to changing manufacturing schedules, while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
